Situated in Lawrence Weston, North Bristol, this Local Nature Reserve is the last remaining fragment of marsh-land in the city. Access from Lawrence Weston Road.

 

Manor Woods Valley Local Nature Reserve, Bristol

Situated in Bishopsworth, south of Bristol, this  proposed Local Nature Reserve has a wide range of interest. Access is from St. Peter’s Rise.

 

Middle Hill Common Local Nature Reserve, Weston in Gordano

This 1.548 hectare Reserve supports unimproved limestone grassland scrub and broad-leaved woodland.

 

Poet’s Walk Local Nature Reserve, Clevedon

This 9.15 hectare site near Clevedon is linked to Coleridge and Tennyson and consists of limestone grassland which blankets numerous archaeological features. Cliff top walks provide extensive views across the Severn estuary and the North Somerset Levels and Moors.

 

Royate Hill Local Nature Reserve, Bristol

Situated in Eastville, East Bristol, this unusual Local Nature Reserve is on top of a 19th century railway viaduct. Access from Edward Street.

This  20.3  hectare  reserve  has salt marsh and limestone grassland with rare plants and insects and is situated just south of Uphill village, close to Weston super Mare and adjacent to the Axe Estuary.

 

Weston Woods Local Nature Reserve, Near Weston Super Mare

This 130 hectare woodland site covers the ridge on the North side of Weston super Mare and is greatly  valued  for  its recreational  and  landscape  value  as  well as for the range of wildlife it supports.
